Roll Handling
Roll transporters and manipulators lift, turn and transport rolls as well as execute multiple lifting options - including, boom, core, cradle or platform, coil or spool materials such as paper, film or foil - with safe, ergonomic controls. Roll handling can be accomplished with portable or overhead designs. Correct roll handling can increase productivity while reducing material damage and workers' compensation claims resulting from non-ergonomic roll handling.
Work Positioners
IMS work positioners provide the ability to move any size, weight or type of material with which you are working. Regardless of configuration, your workers can move the items into any work position. We give you the choice of a programmable, manual or motorized positioner that can accommodate safe positioning of work by height, tilt and rotation. Drum Handling
IMS represents a variety of ergonomic drum handling manufacturers and, based on the customer’s specific application, will determine the most appropriate equipment solution to your individual challenge. IMS can engineer any handling solution, whether it be floor-based, stationary or overhead. A floor-based solution will be portable or stationary.
Stationary solutions are involved when equipment is mounted to the floor and we transport the drum to the dumper. Overhead solutions involve the use of a crane support - Bridge, Jib or Monorail - along with a lift mechanism and tooling to perform the drum handling task located below.

Lift & Tilt Tables
Hydraulic lift tables can lift up to two tons of heavy equipment or products. Scissor lift tables are for lifting and positioning of materials in an office, factory or warehouse.
Tilting lift tables are ideally suited for applications where reaching into boxes, containers or wire baskets is required by the operator. The tilting mechanism allows the operator easy access to the product, while the lifting mechanism places the product at an ergonomic height, helping to avoid repetitive motion injuries and improve productivity.

Hoists
IMS will specify the correct hoist or lifting device needed for your individual application. Hoists vary from a standard electric/air hoist to a smart hoist to servo driven intelligent hoists capable of programming speed and height settings and providing “float mode” to move the load without hitting UP/DOWN controls. Air balancers are also an option for specific applications.

Mezzanines and Guard Rails
IMS will review your plant layout and desired mezzanine needs for a specific area, then engage our mezzanine manufacturers for a proposal, including materials and installation. All stair and hand railing will be included as required - safety guard rails are a key addition to your facility to protect employees from injury due to fork lift and various other isle traffic. These rails are required by OSHA for many areas in your plant and are a relatively inexpensive way to protect plant personnel from major and expensive injuries that may occur in their absence.
Conveyors & Flow Racks
IMS will analyze your plant layout with you, then suggest alternatives for your conveyor options. Both gravity and powered conveyor, with customization for your specific application, are supplied by IMS.
Flow rack will make your production line more efficient by bringing product to your plant operators on the assembly line. You can also manage your product flow using FIFO to minimize the chance for errors and increase quality. The flow rack can be customized to your specific requirements.
